Cut the rope is a unique series of physics based puzzle video games developed and designed by the Russian movie game company ZeptoLab exclusively for the PSP handheld gaming platform. The game begins in the middle of a woods where you control a tiny girl named Nelly who is looking for her lost brother, called Joe. To be able to reach Joe, Nelly should first cut the rope that leads to a strange tower in the middle of the woods. The tower is guarded by a monster named Treadmills, a strong, yet fairly clumsy creature which produces the ropes that lead to the tower shaky.
After cutting the rope, then Nelly should use the PS Vita's camera so as to manipulate the ropes in such a way as to allow her to cross the towers and get nearer to Joe. The game is played in a horizontal scrolling mode, similar to the ones found in Nintendo DS and PSP handheld gaming programs. This mode enables gamers to rotate the camera from left to right so as to see both the tower and the creature Treadmills as they puzzle pics move across the screen. It is also possible to use the touch screen buttons located on the left side of the screen to move and view different levels which can be found within the game. Once Nelly reaches the tower, she needs to make her way down the rope and defeat the monster before entering the Tower of Light.
Throughout the match, Nelly must cut the rope in order to prevent the monster Treadmills from breaking it down. The monster's motion, power, and speed are all dependent on the type of rope which she cuts. As Nelly grows through the levels, she can either go up or down. If Nelly goes upward, she needs to make her way through the Tower of Light till she reaches the floor, while if she goes down she must find a way back into the tower to keep her experience.
